This Pandemic Can Bring Out the Best or the Worst in You

Let’s be completely honest here…
COVID 19 emotions (which is what I’m calling them) are at a complete high (and I totally get it!)

There are a lot of changes, there is a lot of uncertainty, there are a lot of options, questions, unknowns, etc. I think, as a society (and this is not new), we tend to focus on the things we can’t change, the things we can’t do, and then we feel out of control… but that’s because of what we are focusing on… the very things we can’t control.

Don’t get me wrong…
I have felt sad. I have felt anger. I have felt scared. I have felt disgust for other people’s actions.

But, I also have felt hope, empowerment, happiness and gratitude (certainty within myself). Why have I had these positive feelings as well? Because, when I have stopped focusing on OTHER PEOPLE'S ACTIONS and started focusing on MY OWN again, I have been able to re-evaluate, refocus and re-appreciate life/people. By bringing how I want to live my life (with love & peace) back into focus, things become clearer and happier.

Focusing on yourself, your growth, being present, overcoming, etc., enables you to get back the control you are craving. You are what you can control. How you “show up” during this time is what you can control. So, during those times of sadness, when you are overwhelmed with everything that is happening… come back to you!

This situation can bring the best out in you or it can bring out the worst. WE ALL HAVE A CHOICE!!

Will you rise up even though you are struggling?
Will you grow, learn and appreciate what life is currently teaching you, or will you just fight it?
Even when others show anger/fear and a disregard for the people around them, will you show others kindness and respecT?

You are not always responsible for what happens to you,
but you are responsible for how you react to it.
